This week was National School Breakfast Week! We'd like to thank all of our food service employees for constantly providing a nutritious breakfast for our students and always with smiles on their faces! You all are greatly appreciated and valued in our district! #nsbw2022


Our Foods & Nutrition students at the high school are learning knife skills! They were given the opportunity to practice various knife cuts with fresh vegetables to make pico de gallo this week! Yum!


Our local HS FFA Chapter collected over 400 items to send to the Ronald McDonald house in Lexington during FFA week! What a great job and a wonderful way to give back to the community!


Our elementary librarians are rocking it with The Cat in the Hat this week at the KYSTE Conference in Louisville!


Last night, three former Harrison Countians were introduced as 2022 inductees into the Boy's 10th Region Basketball Hall of Fame: Bryan Witajewski, Mac Whitaker and Rosemary Whitaker. The actual Induction Ceremony will take place later this Spring. Congratulations!


Earlier this week, the HCHS Singers received a distinguished rating at Choral Assessment, earning straight 1's from all judges, including sight-reading!

This past weekend, our HCMS Wrestling Team competed in the KFWC Middle School Region 4 Championship at Belfry Middle School. The following wrestlers will move on to the state competition this upcoming weekend: Austin Brinegar, Matt Wasson, Bracken King, Branson Fain, Karsyn Stanfield and Brock Sexton.
Way to go, guys! Good luck at state!

All 4 elementary schools competed in the Regional Governor's Cup competition on Saturday, March 5th with the following results:
Westside - Maddie Peters placed 4th in Science
Eastside - Issac Powers placed 2nd in Social Studies, placed 1st in FPS, 4th overall, and was the recipient of the Hume Sportsmanship Award
Southside - Overall 2nd place in Future Problem Solving

On behalf of the Cynthiana Harrison County Public Library and the Harrison County Board of Education, we enthusiastically announce that in the first week of sign-ups for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library we have enrolled 252 children from birth to 5 years of age! This means that 252 children will receive free books each month until they age out! That is the 30% first year goal in the first week! Just scan the QR code which will direct you to the online registration portal if you'd like to register! Please share so that not one of our smallest community members miss out on this fantastic program!
