**New Immunization Requirements**

Beginning in the school year 2018-2019, ALL students will need to show proof of having received two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine. This vaccine requires the delivery of the doses to be given six months apart. In addition, students age sixteen years and older must show proof of having received two doses of the meningococcal vaccine. It is important to contact your physician or local health department as soon as possible to verify your student has had these immunizations. If they have not yet had these immunizations, you should schedule an appointment before the school year starts. Please bring updated KY immunization certificate to registration at the middle and high schools  or to open house at the elementary schools. If you have additional questions, please contact your medical provider or Rachel Wilson, District School Nurse 234-7121

Children may start school if they have had the first dose of the Hepatitis A vaccine, with the understanding that they must get the second dose 6 months later. Please turn in a current immunization certificate at registration or before school begins, and an updated immunization certificate after the second dose.

Partners in Education

Harrison County Schools have always received great support from area businesses, organizations, civic groups and private donors. To create a community awareness and to honor the work and the contributions, the Harrison County Board of Education
has established a new program recognizing each as a Partner in Education.
