Cynthiana, Ky. (November 23, 2020) - In accordance with Governor Andy Beshear's Executive Order 2020-969, which closes all public and private schools to in-person learning, the Harrison County School District will be observing Full Virtual/Remote Learning for all grades through Sunday, January 3, 2021.  Absent any extension of this order, the learning mode available to our students and families beginning January 4, 2021 will be determined no later than Thursday - December 31, 2020 and based on multiple measures of local community data regarding COVID-19 available at that time.

Virtual/Remote Learning using Google Classroom will be on-going and continue during this time period following the district’s instructional calendar. In addition, our schools are developing plans to provide opportunities for Targeted Learning Support Services. School officials will be reaching out to families with those opportunities when the plans are complete. It is requested and highly recommended that any student/family who is contacted take full advantage of the opportunity to catch up on their learning.

Respectfully,
Harry E. Burchett, Ed.D.
Superintendent, Harrison County Public Schools
