Dear Eastside Families,

I hope the summer has been full of great moments and family fun. Eastside staff members are excited to begin the 2019-20 school year! We will work hard to provide a year filled with exciting opportunities for students.

Eastside will host a “Back to School Night” on Tuesday, August 6th from 5:00-6:30. This event will give your child the opportunity to meet his/her new teacher, connect with old and new friends, and get ready for an amazing school year!

Eastside’s theme this school year will be Camping: Time for S’more Learning. The staff has taken extra time to incorporate this theme into classroom décor and student activities.

The first day of school for students will be Thursday, August 8th. School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. Students may began to arrive at Eastside Elementary at 7:30 a.m. and enter the cafeteria. If you have children that have never registered for school, please stop by the front office and let us know before school begins. We will have some paperwork for you to complete. This will assist us in creating a smooth start to the school year for each and every student.

All students will receive free breakfast and lunch. School supplies are provided through the generosity of the Harrison County Board of Education, so families do not need to purchase supplies.

When schools and families work together to support learning, children succeed. We recognize that a child's education is a responsibility shared by both the school and the student’s family. Therefore, your input and support is valued at Eastside Elementary. Please call 234-7121 any time. We are happy to assist in providing a great year for your child. We look forward to seeing you soon!
