WELCOME TO WESTSIDE LIBRARY!!!!!

Allie Dale, Library Media-Specialist

Each week every student has the opportunity to visit our library!

Our library contains over 12,500 books for elementary students. We hope that Westside students will become great readers with a love of reading by the time they complete fifth grade.

Students in Kindergarten and First Grades may check out one book; Students in Second and Third Grades may check out two books; and Students in Fourth and Fifth Grades may check out three books.

Your child may keep his/her books for one week. Below you will find the library schedule so you will know what day your child needs to turn in his/her books.

On Mondays and Tuesdays, the library operates on a flexible schedule in which students may come in and out as needed for research, computer use, or "extra" checkout.

West Battle Team

West Battle

Meet our AWESOME Battle of the Books Team!!

Here are some good ways to take care of Library books

1. Keep books away from younger brothers or sisters who might color in them or rip the pages.

2. Keep books away from pets.

3. Wash hands before reading books.

4. Keep books away from food or drink.

5. Always use a proper bookmark (never a pencil or folding down the corners).

6. Protect books from weather.

7. Carry books carefully to prevent dropping them.

8. Return books on the day they are due so others can check them out.
