Second Grade Christmas Project
As a part of our character education, we have been learning how to be a “bucket filler.” Part of being a bucket filler is encouraging our classmates and helping each other. We would like for our students to apply this concept to settings outside of school. Therefore, instead of focusing on gifts for each other for Christmas, we will be visiting Grand Haven Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 17 to sing Christmas carols and visit with the residents.
Second Grade Christmas Party
Since students from all second grade classes do not have many opportunities to interact together, we will be celebrating Christmas with a combined party. This will take place on Wednesday, December 17 at 8:30. We will have a breakfast in the cafeteria. The planning of this has already started. If you are needed to send anything in for the breakfast you will be notified. We would love to have you for the breakfast, but we will only be taking our students to Grand Haven. We want to make sure that we don’t overwhelm them with too many people. We will have a field trip later in the year that parents will be welcome to attend.
