This week is Red Ribbon Week. This week is dedicated to teaching students about drug awareness and why it is so important to stay drug free. Our Family Resource Center really does a great job promoting activities during this week. Below is a schedule of activities.

Monday, October 25 – Students will receive red ribbons.

Tuesday, October 27 – Please bring a non-perishable food item to school.

Wednesday, October 28 – Team Up Against Drugs! Wear your school shirt or favorite jersey to school.

Thursday, October 29 – Paint the school red! Wear something red.

I will be in every classroom informing the students of the harmful effects of drugs.  K – 2 will be coming home with a coloring book so please review this with them.  WEDCO also let me borrow visuals that show the results of using drugs.  Be sure to ask your child(ren) about "Mr. Gross Mouth".

The month of October our school focuses on TRUSTWORTHINESS!  Please encourage your child(ren) in understanding the importance of trustworthiness.  Our topic focuses on being honest, telling the truth and standing up for what is right even if it is hard.  We will be doing fun activities in the classroom so be sure to ask your child!
