I am so happy to back at school and to be with such a wonderful class of kids. Our first week together was great. Some adjustments were made and it took a few days to figure each other out, but things are running smoothly now.
A big “Thank You” to Ms. Bills, she went above and beyond to support everyone in my classroom. I am very thankful to have had her here in my place. I know the kids will miss her.
Our classroom schedule hasn’t changed much since my arrival. Each of my kids will be expected to follow all classroom expectations as well as the schools. We practice our good behavior daily. I will continue to send letters home concerning events, and writing individual responses on the communication page found in the left side of each child’s folder. Please check this along with their homework agenda and right side of the folder daily. It is also imperative to read each day ANC go over spelling words with your children. Make it fun and enjoy the time together while helping them with school work.
School pictures will be taken on Friday, October 5th.
Fall Festival is Saturday, October 6th, beginning at 4:00.
Fall Break is scheduled for October 11th & 12th.
Field trip to the Bi-Water Pumpkin Patch will be October 24th. We will leave at 8:30 and return at 2:00.
Halloween Party is yet to be scheduled.
I plan to have a wonderful school year. Each child’s success is very important to me.
Please contact me with questions or concerns.
(I am including a picture of my two babies at home, Maci is 4 and Graci Jean is now 8 weeks old)

Thank you to all of my 2011/2012 students and parents for a wonderful and successful school year. I enjoyed my time with all of you and am wishing you each a very happy and restful summer break.

As my kiddos move on to their new 2012/2013 school year with new teachers, I want them to know that I believe in each of them and wish them each the very best. Please remember that I am always here for you.

To my new 1st grade class. . .
I am so excited to meet and get to know each one of you. Your 1st grade school year will be a happy and educational experience for each of you. We will be reading so many wonderful stories and practicing new math secrets.

Some of you may already be aware that I am expecting a baby girl soon. She will be arriving in early August, we hope. Unfortunately this means that I will be unable to begin school and be with my class until after my maternity leave. I have however been able to find a wonderful and more than qualified long-term substitute who will be filling in for me. She will be working with me, and the other 1st grade teachers to ensure that my kids are on target for learning, safe, and happy. Please make her feel welcome.

I would like to be present and available for Southside’s Open House which is on Thursday, August 2nd from 5-7 p.m. I hope that each of you can make it on this evening. There is also a possibility that I would be at school some during the first week for students. School will begin for students on Tuesday, August 7th.

Have a wonderful summer break!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Julia Ware
