The Northside Speech Connection

This week in speech we will be reading the book “The Day It Rained Hearts” by Felicia Bond. It is a very sweet book about a girl who makes Valentines for her friends. We will be talking about our address and phone number and how to mail a letter.

This week in speech we will be making and learning about pizza! What are the steps to making a perfect pizza? We will find out! Yum!

This week in speech, we will be reading “King Bidgood’s In The Bathtub”. We will be sequencing the story and using our good sounds from the story. And we will be finding out just how they got the king out of the bathtub….

Have you heard about Pinterest yet? It is a great website full of ideas for your home, crafts, etc. It is a wonderful resource for us SLP’s to use. This week in speech, we will be doing a project called, “My Place in this World”. You can find the details here:

Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? There are so many things to be thankful for this year!
This week in speech we will be using our good speech to talk about the things we are thankful for. Some will be putting on a Thanksgiving play. It will be lots of fun!

This week in speech we will be reading “The Paper Crane” by Molly Bang. We will be making some origami using our following directions skills.

We are going to have a fun day today, celebrating Halloween. Everyone looks great in their costumes!
