Mrs. Cunningham's Fabulous Fifth Grade Class

Feb. 6th – Academic practice until 4:15.
Feb. 7th – Play practice until 4:15 and Reading tutoring, also until 4:15.
Feb. 8th – Berry tutoring.
Feb. 9th – 4H for all fifth graders! After school, there will be an academic scrimmage at 3:45 here at Northside.

Mid-terms will be going home on Thursday, February 2nd!!

Book orders are due on Friday, February 3rd, for those people who are interested in purchasing a book.

Our class WILL be having a valentine exchange on February 14th, but no party.

Spelling: Worksheet and study for test.
Reading: Test over “Stretching Ourselves” tomorrow.
Social Studies: Page 90 in Practice Book
Math: Page 92.

Events for the week:

Jan. 3 – Play practice after school, for those people who are in the play. Also, there is Math tutoring after school!

Jan. 4 – Berry Tutoring and STLP (group A)

Jan. 6 – Report cards go home!!

Mid-term reports will be going home on Wednesday, November 16th! Parents, I need you to sign those and send them back to school, please. If a conference is needed, please let me know. Have a great weekend!!!

Northside’s Fall Festival will be tomorrow from 5-8 pm!! Come out and support our school. There will be a chili supper and lots of games for all ages!!

The Recipe for Reading for Northside fifth graders will be on Monday, November 7th at 12:30. It will be held at the Harrison County Extension Office.

There will be NO school on Tuesday, November 8th, due to election day.

Reminders: Halloween Party 2:00 pm on 10-31-11.

Fall Festival is November 5th. The fifth grade classes are putting together a camping theme basket. Items may be brought in at any time for that. Also, fifth graders should bring in packages of spaghetti for the chili supper. (Those packages, too, may be brought in at any time!!)

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 20th from 4-6 p.m. If you can’t come during that time and on that day, please let me know and we can reschedule for another day.

We will be having a Halloween party and it will be held on October 31st at 2:00 p.m. (Students may dress up that day!)

Another busy week is in store for fifth graders! Today, we have conservation at 2:00 and there will be an assembly on “Stranger Safety” tomorrow morning.

Of course, parents, please encourage your children to complete all of their homework and get it turned in at the appropriate times everyday.

Fall break will be October 10-14th!!
