Our story this week is called “Frogs” on page 70. Ask your child about the life of a frog.

Spelling words were sent home on Monday. We are writing them three times each in cursive this week.

Please continue to have your child read out loud for 15 to 20 minutes every night and to practice their math facts.

We will be taking the district wide Math Assessment this week.

Please remember to send in your Ken and Box Top for Education receipts.

Well we are having our 100th day of school today. The children are wearing their 100th day smarter stars.

The children are so excited. I handed out the second book for our reading class this morning.
They received a new workbook as well.

The story this week is about two girls over o period of time sharing a quilt, thus it is called “The Quilt Story”. It is on page 16.

We will write our spelling test in both cursive and manuscript this week.

Well I hope you have enjoyed your four day week-end. Looks like we will finish this week with no more days off.

We will finish last week story and spelling test on Tuesday and then move right into our story ” A Weed is a Flower” page 430.

We had several meeting today and now I am looking forward to the children returning to class.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Literacy Night/Book Fair. Everyone had lots of fun. I even had my picture taken with Santa.

We are having a Book exchange at our Christmas Party, which will be Dec. 15. A note will go home with more information.

Our last day of school before Break is Dec. 16. with dismissal at 11:30am.
