Today Chris and Blair from Bluegrass PRIDE brought water quality testing kits for students to use. The students used an electronic hand held device in which probes were connected. Different probes were used to test the water for different things. Students were able to test the temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen. Students used the readings to determine the quality of the water.

Chris and Blair were with us today from Bluegrass PRIDE. The students took on the role of a water molecule and traveled through the water cycle. The students tracked their journey using beads on a pipe cleaner. Ask your student about his or her journey today using the beads.

Students will begin their journey through the animal kingdom this week. Students will classify animals according to their characteristics. We will begin with deep sea diving to discover the world of sponges, jellyfish, and other simple organisms living in the sea.
