Every day holds something different!
This week we have worked on budgeting, measuring using recipes, listening comprehension skills through the daily media presentation, and locating information.
Welcome Back for today! We will work on developing our menu for next Friday, discussing the recipe, ingredients and cost for our items. Next week, we will shop on Thursday and prepare our selections on Friday.
We could be in for more snow days before Christmas. Watch the local news channel for closings and delays.
"Baby, It's Cold Outside" is one of my favorite winter songs. Stay warm…..it's cold outside!
Only 11 school days until Thanksgiving Break…..It's hard to believe! Celebrate all your thanksgivings!

Another week is in full swing at Harrison County High School!
Enjoy the beautiful weather as cooler temperatures are sure to arrive soon.
….and with it comes cooler temperatures.
We will be making a change to our CBI schedule. We will reduce our amount of time in the community and increase our amount of time in the classroom working on critical skills necessary for making each student productive and successful citizens.
We will continue working on life skills vocabulary specifically in the kitchen.
Have a great week.
Our class is great!! We are doing so many educational and helpful activities this year and we are having fun doing them! Our new team is working very together.
We are working on a collection of recipes that are simple and use few ingredients. The students are learning Cooking Terms and having a blast! We make these recipes every Friday. They will be bringing their cookbooks home at the end of the school year.
Have a great week!

We are beginning another week at HCHS!
On Friday, Ms. Timmons, the newest addition to our teaching team, presented information about Hawaii. She has recently moved back to Cynthiana from living in Hawaii for more than 5 years. The students learned some phrases, watched a video with interesting facts about Hawaii, learned a dance, made lei's and ate some traditional Hawaiian food. It was a wonderful cultural experience for the student as well as the adults! Thank you Ms. Timmons for sharing !
This looks like another beautiful week! Go outdoors and enjoy!
