1950′s America: Lifestyles, Culture, Cars,
Students will study about the Cold War period and the conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union.
Class will continue to study the causes of WWII and Alliances with some European Countries.
Students will learn about the start of World War II and the sacrifices most Americans had to make during wartime.
Student will continue to explore the effects of WWI and the impact it had on the 1920′s. Americans will explode into the roaring twenties or the Jazz Age and how news laws changed American culture.
Student will continue to explore and learn about the Progressive Era in America.
How did American settled the Great Plains? Where it located and how did they do it? Student will begin exploring the how hard it was for these settlers during the late 19th century. Please bring all materials to class.
Students will start studying the Reconstruction period after the Civil War and how the South was divided into five military districts.
Student will begin exploring the concept of Manifest Destiny and how the United States expanded into the West. What are the causes of expansion and how? Please bring all materials to class.
