April 5th, 2012We will have our Easter Egg Hunt this Friday at 2:00pm. Please use plastic eggs filled with candy or small treats. Put one child’s name on each egg. A list of names came home on Monday.

We have been working hard on our animal articles. There are some excellent writers in this class. Our next piece will be a personal narrative. This is a story true story about the writer.
I want to take this time to apologize for the classroom Blog not being updated. I am going to have the students start updating the Blog as soon as we are trained on the new format. Please check back regularly.
Today in class we learned that all snowflakes have 6 points. No two snowflakes are the same. We then took paper and with folds and cuts made snowflakes with 6 points. None of our snowflakes were the same. We will share pictures soon.
Summer activities are slowing down and another school year is just around the corner. I hope to see all of my students on August 4th for our Open House. I'll be in the classroom from 5:30-7:00pm. This is going to be an unbelievable year!
You may now access your child's grades through our parent portal. This lets you keep up with his/her progress. Grades will be updated by Monday. You have to come into the office to get your password.
This group is really strong in math so we are going as quickly and covering concepts as deeply as we can go. Be sure to ask them what they are learning each day. When you talk about things at home it reinforces what we are learning at school!

Our party will be this Friday from 2:00-2:45. We will enjoy some snacks and watch a movie!
