I hope everyone had an enjoyable spring break. We have six weeks left in the school year and lots of excitement in those weeks.

We have had a wonderful week sharing Weslandia Civilization Projects. The ideas and creativity are fabulous. Students will continue this coming week presenting the final projects in each class. I know it will be a great week.

On Friday we went to the fancy restaurant. Fun was had by all. The students looked wonderful all dressed up. They are ready to show off their table etiquette in all of the best restaurants around the world.

Weslandia Projects are due on Tuesday!!! Wow! The last three weeks have gone fast. I am so excited to see your creativity. Please note: I checked the inventory at Walmart and they are stocked full of poster board for 30 cents each.

We are collecting Box Tops!  The classroom that collects the most will win a prize.  The prize is always fantastic from the PTC.   Let’s make our classroom the winner of the BOX TOP EXTRAVAGANZA!  Send in your box tops between now and the end of April.

We will be having our Valentine’s Day Party on Monday, February 13th at 2:00.  This party will be held in each individual homeroom unlike the Christmas Party which was a combined 5th grade event.  Since February is Heart Health Month, we ask that “heart healthy” snack be sent in.  Snack suggestions are fruit, vegetables, popcorn, cheese and crackers, jello, pudding, raisins, or dried fruit.  Students may bring treat bags as well.  Drink suggestion:  juice.

Students may create Valentine containers to bring into class if they choose.  They may also bring a box they used in the past.  We have paper bags available to decorate and use as well.

In addition to our students’ names, we would like students to send 2 extra valentines for our friends from Cedar Ridge.  We are asking each student in include them when making valentines.  Just label the:  “To a Friend.”
