Weekly News Letter

Dear Eastside Families,

I hope the summer has been full of great moments and family fun. Eastside staff members are incredibly excited to begin the 2017-18 school year! This promises to be a year filled with excellent opportunities as we strive to work with families to ensure a successful school year for all of our students.

Eastside will host a “Back to School Night” on Tuesday, August 8th from 5:00-7:00. This event will give your child the opportunity to meet his/her new teacher, connect with old and new friends, and get ready for an amazing school year!
Eastside’s theme this school year will be Bright Futures. The staff has taken extra time to incorporate this theme into classroom décor and student activities.

The first day of school for students will be Thursday, August 10th. School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. Students may began to arrive at Eastside Elementary at 7:30 a.m. and enter the cafeteria. If you have children that have never registered for school, please stop by the front office and let us know before school begins. We will have some paperwork for you to complete. This will assist us in creating a smooth start to the school year for each and every student.

All students will receive free breakfast and lunch. School supplies are provided through the generosity of the Harrison Board of Education, so families do not need to purchase supplies.

When schools and families work together to support learning, children succeed. We recognize that a child's education is a responsibility shared by both the school and the student’s family. Therefore, your input and support is valued at Eastside Elementary.

We strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and caring environment as we prepare students for “bright futures”! We look forward to seeing you soon!
